Another unique high performance product from Terrafirma is the 2.5″ Bypass shock; this super smooth damper uses 3 external bypass tubes to give the ultimate in adjustability and custom tuning.

Two of the external bypass tubes are used to adjust the compression damping of the bypass shock, the third external bypass tube is used to adjust the rebound damping. The 2.5″ Bypass shocks also come with a massive remote reservoir to help them run cooler, fitted in the remote reservoir is a Shrader valve to allow the custom adiustment of the shocks nitrogen pressure to give even more tuneability.

The 2.5″ Bypass shock should be used either alongside a coilover unit being used to carry the spring or with more conventional coil spring set up.

For chassis designed to accept 1.5″ (38mm) ball joints Terrafirma Misalignment Spacers can be used to adapt the larger Terrafirma shock spherical bearing to give extreme articulation and also to convert to the smaller _” (12.5) diameter bolt common with some shock brands.

Terrafirma does not offer a specific mounting kit for the 12” / 14” / 16” travel Air shocks due to the highly customised applications they are designed for. When building these into your custom design particular attention should be given to ensure that top and bottom mountings are attached to load bearing frame or chassis members due to these air shocks taking the full load of the vehicle.

The amount of travel afforded by these air shocks is incredible so all other parts need to take this into consideration such as brake lines and driveshafts.

For custom fitments all welding should be carried out to the highest standards due to the forces involved, caution should also be taken to ensure no other parts foul on the Air shocks.

The Air shocks nitrogen pressure can be adjusted between 100psi and 400psi but come factory gassed at 150psi.
