Description
The washer jet on your Renault Megane sprays screenwash fluid onto the front and/or rear windscreen to help maintain clear visibility while driving.
Most manufacturers mount the washer pump on or inside the washer fluid tank, and the jets rely on the pump to supply the pressure needed for the spray. An anti-freeze screenwash solution may also be added to prevent freezing during cold weather.
If no fluid is spraying onto the windscreen when you activate the washers, this can be caused by several issues. Inspecting the washer jet is the first step, as the tank may be empty, blocked, or damaged.
If the washer jet does not work at all, there may be a fault with either the jet itself or the washer pump, and one of these components may require replacement.
