What Does the Washer Pump Do?
The washer pump on your Renault Wind supplies pressure so that the screenwash fluid can be sprayed onto the front and/or rear windscreen.
Most manufacturers mount the washer pump on or inside the washer fluid tank. An anti-freeze solution can be added to the fluid to prevent freezing during cold weather.
If no fluid is coming out when you activate the washers, this can be caused by several issues. Inspecting the washer pump should be the first step, as the tank may be empty or damaged.
If the pump fails to operate at all, there may be a fault and the washer pump may need replacing.
